West Wyalong is a thriving Riverina town in central New South Wales that is situated at the junction of the Newell and Mid-Western Highways. Known as ‘the quiet one’ for its friendly and peaceful atmosphere, West Wyalong Caravan Park offers a range of options to suit caravanners and campers looking to unwind and relax in the heart of the beautiful Riverina. 2-Bedroom Ensuite and Family Cabins are a comfortable air conditioned option for families on the go, couples love the Studio Ensuites, while the Bedsit Rooms are a great option for those with a budget in mind. There are 47 large drive-through gravel sites and 10 grassed camping sites for those who love to carry their own accommodation with them. All sites have access to our spacious camp kitchen and well-maintained shared amenities blocks. Please contact the park if you're travelling with your pet.
INSIDE THE PARK
A Camp Kitchen at the heart of the park offers guests the chance to cook and barbecue in air-conditioned comfort. It comes equipped with a microwave, fridge and two upright stoves with grills and ovens. Two amenities blocks are situated at either end of the drive-through caravan sites, an undercover BBQ is surrounded by grass and a guest laundry is provided near the amenities block at the eastern end of the park.
THINGS TO DO IN WEST WYALONG
Known as Australia’s food bowl, the Riverina region is packed with unforgettable experiences. West Wyalong offers historical trails, a unique art scene and a number of annual events that celebrate the town’s agricultural heritage. These include the West Wyalong Rodeo each March, the Mirrool Silo Kick each October, the Barmedman Tractor Pull also in October and the popular West Wyalong Christmas Markets every December. In between these, the main street of West Wyalong offers a glimpse back in time to when gold was first discovered here in 1893. Visit the Wyalong Museum to discover more, browse antique shops, art galleries and enjoy the local hospitality at a number of vintage pubs and converted cafes.
GETTING TO WEST WYALONG
West Wyalong is just over five hours’ drive from Sydney, six hours from Melbourne and 3hr 20min from Canberra. You can also fly into Wagga Wagga or Griffith, which are both less than two hours’ drive away from the town centre.
