Anchorage Holiday Park
Park features
Situated in the idyllic fishing village of Illuka, where the pace of life is relaxed, you will be surrounded by unspoilt beaches, a huge variety of birdlife and wildlife all visible in their natural habitat, and the nearby spectacular World Heritage Rainforest. Anchorage Holiday Park itself is the ideal base for exploring all that nature has to offer in Illuka and surrounding areas, including Yamba further down the coast. Providing a wide range of accommodation options, you can stay for a couple of days or a couple of weeks and you’ll know you have everything you could possibly need for a memorable holiday.
If you are travelling light or having a holiday with the family in a tent, the park offers generously sized, level sites and powered sites both with and without a concrete slab if you’ve brought the caravan or camper. There are several prime river view powered sites available as well. Imagine waking up and looking out on to the beautiful Clarence River, teeming with birds and just waiting to be explored. The traditional caravan park experience.
If you prefer cabin accommodation, Anchorage Holiday Park offers different types of cabin suitable for every situation. Verandah Cabins provide comfortable open plan living for 4 people, while the Queen Duplex cabins are perfect for a family. Also available are the bright and airy Queen Cabins which can accommodate up to 5 people and, for a larger group of 6, the Deluxe Cabin is just the right choice for a comfortable stay.
Add a little luxury to your next holiday by indulging in a number of beauty treatments available at the onsite Anchorage Holiday Park Day Spa. If fishing or birdwatching aren’t your thing, or if you want to wind down after a busy day of beach activity, you can book into the Spa for unequalled relaxation.
The kids will have a ball on the on-site playground as well as the beautiful swimming pool shaded by a large sail and available to all guests. You can lounge by the pool before cooking up a meal in our well-appointed camp kitchen, followed by marvelling at the stars or taking a lazy evening walk along one of the many nearby beaches.
If you need any advice about making the most of your time in the Clarence River region, Anchorage Holiday Park has a tour desk with staff on hand to provide you with all the suggestions you might need. The nearby seaside rainforest, one of the largest remaining in NSW, has an idyllic walking track which takes you out to the magnificent Iluka Bluff lookout. Or if you want to test your surfing skills, you can head down to Yamba and the Angourie Point National Surfing Reserve. You’ll be glad to return to the tranquillity of the Anchorage Holiday Park after taking on some of the best right-hand point breaks in Australia.
Anchorage Holiday Park is the perfect destination for any kind of holiday – hiking, surfing, fishing, beachside or for that getaway with the kids. Perhaps the best kept secret on the northern NSW coast, you’re sure to be back time and time again
