Port Macquarie is filled with things to do. For experienced and beginner fishers, there’s plenty of opportunity on the Hastings River and along the coastline. Look out for the bottlenose dolphins which love to play in the water around the town, or see if you can spot a whale off the shore. There is also plenty of walking and hiking trails in the nearby rainforests.

The famous Koala Hospital and Hello Koalas Sculpture Trail are also popular options for families.

Gourmet travellers will be spoilt for choice by the number of restaurants, cafes and bars in Port Macquarie, many serving local seafood and oysters. There is also a vibrant craft beer scene, and plenty of wineries to visit too.

However visitors fill their days, Leisure Tourist Park and Holiday Units offers a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy the sunset, take in the sounds of local birdlife, and recharge for the next day’s activities.
