Park Info
Jindabyne is best known for the fabulous ski fields which are covered in snow during the winter, however the area is equally as popular for the spectacular scenery and outdoor activities which can be enjoyed under the gorgeous summer sun. A destination for all seasons, the best place to stay when visiting the area is undoubtedly Discovery Parks – Jindabyne, nestled on the shores of the huge lake which shares the area’s name.

There are a range of accommodation choices available for all sizes of group and all budgets throughout the year. The Standard Cabins sleep four people comfortably with different layouts depending on whether you’ve arrived as a family or a group of friends. They include well-appointed kitchens, private bathrooms and good size sitting areas to relax in after a busy day enjoying the outdoors.

For the budget minded ski or hiking group who is looking for a comfortable place to sleep without any unnecessary extras, the Economy Cabins are ideal. Offering sleeping quarters only, or beds and a kitchenette, guests are free to use all of the rest of the camp facilities knowing that they have cosy place to rest their heads when the day is over.

However, for those visitors who are after a bit more luxury, the Deluxe Cabins offer large kitchens and bathrooms, with the new Deluxe 2-Bedroom Cabins even coming complete with a fireplace. Imagine snuggling up in front of it with the snow falling outside, sipping a hot drink and feeling exhausted after an exciting day on the slopes.

Naturally, visitors with a caravan or tent are most welcome at Discovery Parks – Jindabyne. There are plenty of sites available in various sizes so the park is able to accommodate even the largest of vans. There are also plenty of unpowered sites for the tent or the campervan, beneath the mature trees and resting on plenty of grass.

There are plenty of facilities at Discovery Parks – Jindabyne which all guests are welcome to use. These include a bouncing pillow and playground for the kids, as well as a bike station to keep your bikes safe and maintained between rides and a local boat ramp from which you can launch your boat or canoe on to the lake.

There is also a kiosk on site for all of those last-minute, forgotten items.

Discovery Parks – Jindabyne is the perfect base from which to explore the area. Although the nearby ski slopes are well known, during the summer months the area is a haven for bushwalkers, hikers and mountain bike riders. You can even explore the area on horseback, or take the kayak out onto Lake Jindabyne for unrivalled views of the surrounding mountains. A trip to Kosciuszko National Park is a must, where you can ride the chairlift up the mountain, or simply soak up the beauty of the wildflowers which fill the area whilst the sun is shining.

Jindabyne is a mecca for skiers and snowboarders during the winter months, with good snowfalls in the nearby mountains almost guaranteed. There are plenty of slopes, from easy to challenging to keep even the most experienced skier happy.

At the end of the day, when the sun goes down and a chill fills the air, you can return to your comfortable cabin or camp at Discovery Parks - Jindabyne. You can watch the sunset from outside your camp, or snuggle down in the warmth of your cabin and marvel over the spectacular scenery and all of the fun and adventure still to be enjoyed.
