Park Info
As one of the most awarded holiday parks in the Northern Territory, Discovery Parks – Alice Springs (formerly BIG4 MacDonnell Range Holiday Park) earns its spot as one of the most famous in the region.

Established in 1984 and surrounded by the picturesque MacDonnell Ranges - away from the relative traffic and noise of Alice Springs town centre - this park offers a wide range of accommodation options, making it a family friendly location perfect for those staying a week or longer, or for those just passing through.

From fully self-contained cabins that offer a touch of outback luxury and safari glamping tents perfect for a romantic break, to ensuite cabins and sites capable of accommodating the biggest of rigs, there is something for everyone here.

In-park facilities include multiple swimming pools to choose from, (including a heated lap pool), adventure playground, jumping pillows, pedal go karts, a BMX track and half-court basketball for the kids. Add a recreation room with pool tables, table tennis and video games, and parents are always thankful for the downtime to relax by the pool and enjoy a desert sunset.

Multiple camp kitchens mean a communal BBQ with fellow travellers is an easy way to make new friends, while washing machines and clothes dryers are convenient additions to any camping experience. All rooms here come with air conditioning, a veranda with outdoor furniture, ironing facilities and basic cooking supplies.

Central to many of the NT’s most iconic natural wonders, Discovery Parks – Alice Springs is the ideal spot to begin any outback adventure in one of Australia’s must-see destinations. Take the time to discover Indigenous culture and places of historical significance, including artwork by local Aboriginal artists, and to join an activity including Parrtjima – an authentic Aboriginal light festival.

Guests here enjoy free pancake breakfasts every Sunday morning and the most incredible light show in the sky every night! Guided tours are available to nearby attractions and any shopping trip to Alice Springs should include any one of a number of Aboriginal art galleries and cultural centres.

Other on-site facilities include a mini-mart, accessible parking, a fitness centre, shared lounge, snack bar and outdoor garden and patio area.

Welcome to your home away from home in one of the Northern Territory’s most in-demand locations.
