Located along the iconic Overland Way driving route, 90 minutes inland from Townsville, Charters Towers is an historic town packed with character and outback charm.
Charters Towers Tourist Park is located just 2km from the town centre and provides the ideal location to base yourself while exploring the rich heritage of the region.
If you’re enjoying a self-drive holiday with your caravan, camper trailer or motorhome, the park’s spacious and shady campsites will be ideal. Choose from grassed sites, sites with concrete slabs or ensuite sites depending on your needs. There are dog friendly sites available.
There is a range of cabin accommodation options, all including air-conditioning, linen to all beds, cooking facilities and comfortable living area suitable for couples or families.
With excellent park facilities including well equipped camp kitchen, BBQs and a fully licensed kiosk stocking a range of beers, wines and soft drinks, happy hour with fellow travellers is an easy way to relax in park. Look out for the park’s famous Bush Poet sundowners during the tourist season.
