Nestled on the edge of the Great Dividing Range with the Darling Downs adjacent, this regional boasts national parks, lakes, damns and waterfalls, 4WD and walking trails to explore.

The ideal base for exploring the region, Crows Nest Tourist Parks is close to the heart of town and offers a range of roomy campsites and comfortable self-contained cabin accommodation to suit all holidaymakers. The whole family is welcome, with dog friendly sites and cabins available.

Set over 9 acres of gardens with shady trees and creek, the park offers a country oasis with room for the whole family to spread out and relax. Park features include an onsite restaurant and café, heated swimming pool, games room, camp kitchens and picnic areas. Animal lovers will love the park’s own bird aviary with many species of native birds including rosellas and budgies and there is a deer park next door.

If you’re arriving with the caravan, camper trailer, motorhome or tent, choose from spacious powered and unpowered sites with either concrete slab or grass depending on your needs. For campers looking for extra comfort, ensuite sites are available. Those travelling with big rigs will enjoy the convenience of a drive through site.

Self contained cabin accommodation options cater for couples to large groups, sleeping from two to seven people depending on configuration. All cabins and cottages are comfortable with well-appointed amenities including kitchen/ette, ensuite and air on. There are wheelchair accessible cabins available.

Beyond the park there is much to explore in the Crows Nest Region. Explore the Ravensbourne National Park and Crows Nest National Park for scenic bushland views, excellent walking trails and plenty or native animals to observe. Crows Nest Falls are an easy walk for the whole family. Head to nearby Cooby Dam, Cressbrook Dam or Lake Perseverance for swimming, fishing and other water sports, or pack a picnic and soak up the natural serenity on the shore.

It’s worth a visit to the Black Forest Hill Clock Centre for its displays of thousands of intricate German cuckoo clocks, and exploring the Toowoomba and Darling Downs wine regions for small boutique vineyards known for shiraz and chardonnay.
