Coral Coast Tourist Park

Coastal Townsville in Queensland is a tropical paradise and a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, tropical islands and lush rainforests and famous for having more than 300 days of sunshine each year.

The largest city north of the sunshine coast, the city boasts art, music, restaurants, bars as well as spectacular natural beauty. Visitors ramble through beautiful national parks and many take the short 20-minute ferry ride to Magnetic Island, with its palm-shaded beaches, snorkelling, kayaking and hiking trails. The 1.5-hour Forts Walk includes World War II forts and incredible views. Townsville is a thriving cultural centre with theatres, festivals, markets and sporting centres.

Dine al fresco in one of Townsville’s buzzing restaurants and cafes on balmy evening by the water or cook up a storm in the camp kitchen at Coral Coast Tourist Park. The park offers a friendly home-away-from-home, with a weekly meet and greet barbecue in the winter season where guests can swap travel stories. The facilities are immaculately clean and the pool and wading area provide a refreshing end to a day of sight-seeing and adventure.

Coral Coast Tourist Park has air-conditioned accommodation ranging from ensuite units, to self-contained cabins with fully equipped kitchens and shady camp-sites.

Deluxe cabins have a queen bed, ensuite, kitchenette, dining and patio, perfect for sun downers. Dog-friendly cabins offer a choice of double or queen bed, some with single and bunk beds, TV, fridge and crockery. There’s also affordable accommodation in comfortable family units with ensuites, patio, kitchenette. Linen and WiFi is provided.

If you prefer, caravanners and campers can stretch out on shady site – most have power, grass, taps and sullage – and there’s a well-equipped laundry, camp kitchen and TV room with Foxtel where you can catch up on your favourite sports. Dog owners are welcome to bring their canine friends and the park can even put you in touch with local dog sitters.

The park also provides a lending library so you can sit by the pool with a good book while the kids play.
