Barwon River Holiday Park
Park features
Barwon River Holiday Park is ideally situated only minutes from the waterfront, CBD of Geelong, restaurants, Simonds Stadium, swimming centres, sporting facilities as well as the airport and Adventure Park.
The park provides a wide range of accommodation options to suit all tastes and budgets and caters to a vast array of holiday makers ranging from couples travelling together, to families and large group bookings. The new luxury air-conditioned two and three bedroom villas are perfect for bigger travelling parties or families looking to spread out.
All cabins are all fully self-contained with a bathroom ensuite, kitchen with cooking facilities, lounge, TV/DVD, air-conditioning and heating. There are also mobility impaired cabins and a family bathroom that is equipped with low mobility amenities. If you’re bringing your own caravan or camper trailer, private ensuite caravan sites await, whilst guests seeking a more authentic camping experience love to set up their tents on the shady grassed tent sites.
The outdoor seasonlly heated swimming pool is perfect for the whole family to enjoy and the separate wading pool is ideal for those with little ones. A giant jumping pillow provides hours of fun and is a park-wide attraction for kids of all ages. Kids will also love the two playgrounds and fantastic pedal go karts available for hire.
Go wild on the dinosaur adventure playground or head to the ½ court basketball and outdoor table tennis facilities.
Guests have the convenience of three amenities blocks, a laundry, free WiFi available throughout the park.
Cook up a storm on one of two undercover BBQ areas or in the recently extended and renovated camp kitchen! It’s fantastic and features brand new appliances, group seating, a cool servery window and new alfresco area too. The perfect way to end a perfect day in Geelong or on the Great Ocean Road!
If you’re here for a little longer and keen to venture further afield to explore the beautiful surrounds of Belmont, the Barwon River and Geelong, there’s no shortage of places to see and things to do. The Great Ocean Road is without doubt one of Australia’s many highlights and we’re in the perfect location to start exploring it.
Geelong is a thriving metropolis and the waterfront Esplanade features a 19th century carousel, lovely art deco boardwalk and sea bath, as well as colourful sculptures chronicling the city’s history. Staff at reception will be happy to recommend some great local sights worthy of a visit.
