Great Ocean Road Tourist Park
Park features
Approximately 150 metres from the beach at Peterborough in Victoria, this tourist park is the perfect base from which to visit the Twelve Apostles, Port Campbell National Park, London Bridge, Bay of Islands Coastal Park and the Twelve Apostles Gourmet Trail.
Great Ocean Road Tourist Park boasts fantastic onsite facilities including direct access to the river. If you’re keen to try fishing and to bring your boat along, you can launch it from the local boat ramp adjacent to the park. Once you’ve reached your daily bag limit, you’ll be able to cook up your catch at the fantastic camp kitchen. Of course the pristine waters here aren’t just ideal for fishing and boating, diving is extremely popular too; as is surfing, swimming, whale, bird and penguin watching.
Whatever daytime activities you decide to enjoy, you’ll be glad you’ve made your home away from home at the Great Ocean Road Tourist Park. The self-contained accommodation offers a wide array of cabins to choose from.
For those travelling in larger groups, the Deluxe Cabins, three-bedroom Ensuite Cabin and Riverfront Cabin are ideal, sleeping up to six people. They’re beautifully styled, with open plan living, kitchen and meals area. The Riverfront Cabin has stunning views of the Curdies River Inlet and the Spa Cabin adds that little bit of luxury.
For those in caravans or camping in tents, there are a range of powered and unpowered sites available. These are generally grassy, some are beautifully placed among shade-providing trees and bushes, and well-protected from wind. Some sites have river frontage and if you’re looking for dog-friendly caravan parks on the Great Ocean Road, this is the spot for you (excluding peak periods).
Regardless of the type of accommodation you book, you’ll be able to enjoy the onsite facilities available at this Peterborough location. There’s a luxury camp kitchen, BBQs, open fire, TV and games room, clean bathrooms and laundry.
Be sure to drop in to Reception for useful travel advice and local tips.
If you’re keen for some exercise, there are free tennis courts just a short walk from the park. For the children, there’s a fantastic safe playground and basketball ring to shoot some hoops. Great Ocean Road Tourist Park allows campfires in dedicated fire drums, perfect for toasting marshmallows.
When it’s time for you to cross the Great Ocean Road off your touring wish list – or experience it again – you’ll find a warm welcome at Great Ocean Road Tourist Park.
