Discovery Parks - Echuca

Echuca is a historic rural town situated on the banks of the Murray River in Victoria. Once you’ve settled into your accommodation, you can head out to enjoy all of the facilities available to guests. There is a bouncing pillow and playground for the kids to run around on, as well as putt-putt golf, a spacious games room, a tennis court, basketball court and even a fantastic BMX track, so make sure to pack the bikes. If they are keen to get wet, there is a huge indoor heated swimming pool to enjoy as well as a resort-style waterpark to play in. While the kids are busy, you can make use of the camp kitchen or BBQs to prepare a meal, or simply relax and soak up the riverside ambience which surrounds you.

When you do finally convince the kids to go exploring, you can visit the historic Port of Echuca area where you’ll be sure to catch one of the many events usually held there, or enjoy a walk along the historic wharf or a drink in the Star Hotel. You can also go for a cruise along the river in one of the many paddle steamers which are berthed in Echuca or even hire a houseboat for a day trip along the giant waterway. Echuca is also in the heart of the local wine region meaning there are plenty of opportunities for wine tasting and gourmet discoveries along the Echuca-Moama Food and Wine Trail.
