Boulder is a historic mining town in Western Australia, eight hours inland from Perth, and right on the outskirts of Kalgoorlie. In fact, the closeness between Boulder and Kalgoorlie is such that the two towns were joined to form Kalgoorlie-Boulder, a bustling mining centre famous for its rugged landscape and rich and fascinating gold mining industry.

No matter whether you are coming to Discovery Parks – Boulder for work or for pleasure, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. Offering a range of accommodation options, including long-stay options, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Holiday makers looking for cabin accommodation can settle into one of the unique, A-frame cabins. With wood panelling, a mezzanine level and a fully appointed kitchenette, these cabins are ideal for a couple, sleeping two in comfort.

For larger groups, choose one of the available cabins sleeping between 3 and 5 people. There are also onsite vans and studio rooms available, as well as single economy rooms designed specifically for temporary workers who are looking for a comfortable place to stay with the minimum of fuss.

Discovery Parks – Boulder is also perfectly set up for visitors arriving with the caravan or the tent, with plenty of sites available, both powered and unpowered. Many sites have hard standing for your convenience and there are even a number of ensuite sites available.

While staying at Discovery Parks – Boulder, all visitors are welcome to use the camp kitchen and onsite BBQs to prepare a meal, or you can cool off in the park swimming pool. If you prefer not to cook, there is a dining hall on site with meals on offer seven days a week.

Whilst in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, visitors shouldn’t miss the spectacular Super Pit, a working open cut gold mine which is over 3km long and almost 2km wide. The suburb of Boulder itself is filled with history with museums, markets and a shady arboretum to explore, just perfect for a picnic and a stroll amongst the many native trees and shrubs. Or head into the centre of Kalgoorlie with plenty of shops and eateries, not to mention the wealth of historic buildings which line the main street.

Whether you are passing through on your Western Australian outback adventure, heading to Kalgoorlie-Boulder to work at the mines, or just visiting for a holiday, you’ll find a warm welcome at Discovery Parks – Boulder. With everything you need onsite for a comfortable and fuss-free stay, you’ll end each evening feeling as if you’ve just settled into your desert home away from home.
