Discovery Parks - Harrington Beach
Park features
Whether you are after a holiday filled with nature walks, hiking and abundant photo opportunities, or a beach getaway with miles of gorgeous beaches, plenty of swimming, paddling and fishing, you’ll find exactly what you need at Discovery Parks - Harrington. Situated just out of the cosy fishing village of Harrington, at the mouth of the Manning River, the park is perfectly situated to enjoy all of the delights the area has to offer.
There is plenty of accommodation to choose from, with a range of cabins for all sizes of group or family and all budgets. For larger families looking for all facilities at your fingertips, the Deluxe Cabins are ideal. With large sitting areas, modern bathrooms and air conditioning, any family of between 4 and 6 will be comfortable. They even offer the convenience of a private outdoor BBQ right there on your balcony, so you can cook up a meal or BBQ the day’s catch without leaving your accommodation.
For the more budget conscious visitors, the Standard and Economy cabins are perfect. These include comfortable beds, private bathrooms and bunk beds for the kids in the larger cabins. Or for a holiday with a difference, book one of the Safari Tents and experience all the fun of camping, without having to erect your own tent and with the luxury of a proper bed to sleep in at night.
Caravans, campers and tents are also welcome, with both powered and unpowered sites available, some even with ensuites for added convenience. All guests can then use the well-appointed camp kitchen and communal BBQs to prepare a meal or a snack for yourself of the family.
The kids will be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities. When the sun is shining, they can get their energy out on the bouncing pillow, or spend hours playing in the waterpark or swimming in the pool. There’s also putt-putt mini golf and plenty of seasonal kids’ activities during the school holidays. There is also a playground to enjoy and pedal karts to hire so they can ride around the park to their hearts content. If the weather turns a bit cooler or if the kids just want to get out of the sun for a while, there is a movie room and even an indoor soft play area to explore.
Naturally, there is plenty to do close by, as Discovery Parks – Harrington sits right on the edge of the spectacular Crowdy Bay National Park. The national park is filled with walks and hiking, as plenty of flora and fauna to discover. Or head out to the glittering Diamond Head further into the national park where you can take in breathtaking views of the park and the ocean.
The nearby beaches are also fantastic, so even if you just want to relax in the sun, listening to the waves and enjoying the pristine beaches, there is plenty of opportunity. You could also try kayaking on the nearby Manning River, or cast a line into the river or the ocean and try your luck at catching a fish all year round.
Every day at Discovery Parks – Harrington will end with the chance to relax outside of your cabin or camp, soaking up the warmth of the evening, and listening to the native birds and wildlife as it settles for the night. Each magical day will make memories and bring a sense of excitement for all of the fun to be had the next, at Discovery Parks – Harrington.
