Mitchell Caravan Park
Park features
Steer off the highway and into Mitchell Caravan Park for an outback oasis.
If you’re travelling with your rig in tow, there are multiple powered sites or ensuite drive-through sites to choose from, with clean amenities to complement your camping experience. Use one of the park’s portable fire pits to set up a campfire, share a story or two, and roast marshmallows under the stars. Sites are pet-friendly, so your furry pal is more than welcome (just keep them safe and sound on a leash). The park also offers a selection of budget and family cabins to stay cosy and warm indoors, with private ensuites and kitchenettes.
As the Henry Lawson saying goes, ‘If you know Bourke, you know Australia’. For a quintessentially Aussie experience, make the most of Bourke in the great outdoors. Get your permit for Mount Oxley from the visitor’s centre, or head to Gundabooka National Park to see woodlands, wildlife, and timeless Aboriginal rock art. Cruise along the Darling River on theJandra Paddleboat, cast out a line, or launch a boat to enjoy your favourite water recreation activities. To get a sense of what makes this outback town special, visit the interactive Back O’ Bourke Exhibition Centre and learn about its history.
When you’re ready to relax, there’s plenty of fun to be had back at the park. Wander around the grounds to find sunny picnic spots, smell the roses, or dive into the pool. The park even has a walk-in aviary, plus handy facilities that include a camp kitchen and gas BBQ, coin laundromat, and recently refurbished accessible amenities block.
This is a park with personality, so for a one-of-a-kind outback getaway, book your stay at Mitchell Caravan Park.
