Formerly known as The Sandhills, Keppel Sands is a quaint seaside village of around 400 residents and an amazing holiday spot at the southern end of the Capricorn Coast.
Adjoining Coorooman Creek, this tranquil park offers large powered and unpowered sites that are big enough to accommodate every kind of RV - not to mention your boat, each with drinking water access.
Have some fun playing crazy mini golf and pickleball or take a relaxing soak in the plunge pool.
A ‘Clubhouse’ is a great place to meet other travellers whilst watching the entertainment of mini golf or pickleball.  
Keppel Sands Main Beach is 500 meters from the park. It’s dog friendly, has a playground and is perfect to spend time swimming, or boating, but above all, this is a fishing haven! Keppel Sands lures many travellers with the chance to fish or go crabbing at your doorstep.
Walk up the hill to the Keppel Sands Lookout, providing a breathtaking view of the Keppel Islands and stunning coastline.
The town boasts a pub, convenience store, post office and state primary school, along with two boat ramps - Coorooman Creek and Pumpkin Creek, where a local Coast Guard’s located. Grab any essential supplies needed from the convenience store, send a postcard of your travels from the post office or take a night off cooking and enjoy a meal at the Keppel Sands Hotel only 250m (easy walk) from the park.
In half an hour, you can drive to the seaside towns of Emu Park, Yeppoon or Rockhampton.  
Koorana Crocodile Farm is just ten minutes away or drive a little further to explore the Capricorn Caves.
Great Keppel Island is only a half hour boat trip from the mainland.

Getting to Keppel Sands Caravan Park 

Access to Keppel Sands is by sealed road. From Rockhampton, take the road to Emu Park. The turn-off onto Keppel Sands Road is approximately 25 km from Rockhampton or 15km from Emu Park.
Once you arrive in Keppel Sands, turn left onto Taylor Street to arrive at the park. 
The closest airport to Keppel Sands Caravan Park is Rockhampton Airport (ROK), with connecting flights to other airports in Queensland.
