Burrum Shores Beachfront Campground
Park features
Burrum Shores Beachfront Campground is the perfect place to sit back and appreciate the simple things in life.
Park the caravan on your pick of Lagoon, Sunrise, Sunset, or Beachfront sites, with both powered and unpowered options available. Alternately, book their beach shack with a double and single bed, kitchen, bathroom, and a BBQ on the back verandah. Either way, you’ll have access to the beach right on your doorstep. It’s ideal for water activities like kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, going fishing, or simply relaxing with a sea view and the peaceful sound of lapping ocean waves.
Kids will love exploring this nature-based park - from reeling in their first fish to collecting beautiful shells along the shoreline. Back at the campground, they’ll enjoy the tree swings, playing games in wide, open spaces, and settling in around the fire pits for a nighttime campfire (weather permitting). Pets are big fans of Burrum Shores Beachfront Campground, too; all sites are pet-friendly, so long as dogs are kept on leashes. Plus, the beach is a council-approved, off-leash area for furry friends.
You won’t find a camp kitchen with a better view than this one, plus there are Traeger Smokers available (pellets supplied) to cook up an unbeatable BBQ. This Fraser Coast town is a big fishing location, so there’s a good chance you’ll have fresh seafood to add to your dinner feast. Park amenities are squeaky clean, with piping hot water showers, and if you’re the type who likes to get active on your getaway, there’s a swimmable lagoon, not to mention a local Park Run on the beach.
It’s only a short drive into the local neighbourhood shopping strip, and half an hour to find yourself in Hervey Bay. There, you can catch a ferry to K’gari or join a whale watching cruise. If that’s not enough adventure, it’s just over an hour north to reach the brilliant beaches of Bundaberg, where you can also visit the Mon Repos Turtle Centre (and potentially catch nesting or hatching season from November to March).
Burrum Shores Beachfront Campground feels like your own slice of beachside magic, where days are marked by the sun rising and falling and the tide coming in and out. Book your escape today!
