Goondiwindi is a vibrant border town, nestled on the banks of the Macintyre River at the Queensland and New South Wales border. With an idyllic climate, scenic rural and outback surroundings and an abundance of rivers, waterways and billabongs, the area is ideal for a family holiday.
Goondiwindi Tourist Park caters for all kinds of visitors – from those who want the convenience of a cabin to those who enjoy the full camping experience. There is comfortable accommodation suitable for everyone.
The huge range of cabins are spacious and immaculately presented. Whether you’re a family of six or a couple, there will be a cabin to suit. All offer neat living areas, kitchenettes and TVs. There are dog-friendly cabins, too – please ask about dogs when you make your booking.
Self-contained accommodation ranges from open plan cabins, family superior cabin and deluxe cabins with ensuite, through to budget cabins without ensuite. All offer restful comfort in this ten-acre holiday park.
If you have brought the caravan, there are a huge number of sites waiting. Whether you’ve got a large rig or you prefer the convenience of an ensuite bathroom, you’ll find what you need at Goondiwindi Tourist Park. There are plenty of unpowered sites for the tent, some situated right next to the billabong where you can watch the waterbirds in the evening while enjoying your meal.
All guests are free to use the camp kitchen and two BBQ areas with outdoor seating. Children love using the onsite swimming pool or the playground with shade sails.
Goondiwindi Tourist Park has a kiosk and store, for those last minute needs or snacks. While at the office, the friendly tour desk staff can give you all the advice you need on things to do in this bustling area.
Goondiwindi itself offers restaurants, cafes and shopping as well as lots of local history to explore. Along the Macintyre River there are walks and birdwatching, as well as places to picnic and cycle. Try fishing in the river to see whether you can bring in that night’s dinner fresh from the water.
Restful and spacious, Goondiwindi Tourist Park is a tranquil Queensland holiday spot, ideally situated for a great family getaway.
