Known for being Roma’s friendliest caravan park, Big Rig Tourist Park is located just off the Warrego Highway as you come into Roma. It’s a good five and a half hours from Brisbane, and just 500 metres from the centre of this bustling town of 7,000 people.
Big Rig Tourist Park offers cabin and workforce accommodation options and powered caravan sites. The cabins include executive two-bedroom and deluxe one and two-bedroom options that are self-contained and feature TV, linen and free parking. Many cabins also have disability access, so make sure you ask when you book.
The Studio cabins are more suited to worker accommodation and have a kitchenette with coffee and tea making facilities, microwave, TV, and access to covered communal areas which including seating and a BBQ. There is also a house which sleeps four, is fully self-contained and perfect for families or extended worker’s accommodation.
Big Rig Tourist Park also caters to those with caravans, with dog-friendly, shady sites available, as well as access to the large covered camp kitchen, clean amenities, laundry, BBQs, and a dump point for larger vans and RVs. Drive-through sites are also available.
Other facilities at this family-friendly Roma caravan park include a swimming pool for the warmer months, wifi, Foxtel, a tour desk and kiosk.
Local attractions in Roma include The Big Rig Oil Patch Museum, Roma’s 3D Mural, and the Roma Saleyards Visitor Tours – the largest saleyards in the Southern Hemisphere.
