Park Info
Victor Harbor around an hour from Adelaide, South Australia, has long been the people’s choice as a family beach holiday destination. Close to a range of surfing towns from Middleton to Goolwa, Victor Harbor is steeped in history and offers calm beaches, great fishing, galleries, great dining and more.
Don’t miss the pleasant walk along the jetty to Granite Island or take the historic horse-drawn train instead, then marvel at the boiling seas and fascinating rocky outcrops which give the island its name. Kids and adults alike love the Cockle Train – a historic steam-train which travels to nearby Goolwa and back.
If you’re after a more energetic holiday, there is great fishing all around Victor Harbor, as well as long, well-maintained cycling tracks; safe, protected beaches, plenty of boating and water sports as well as a golf-course and many well-marked walks. And if you are really adventurous, you’ll love to swim with the Bluefin Tuna and the Oceanic Victor in-sea aquarium or take a Granite Island Nature Tour and see the tiny fairy penguins who live among the rocks.
Victor Harbor Holiday Park is conveniently located just a short trip from the centre of Victor Harbor which has a huge range of restaurants, cafes and pubs for you to try.
It offers a huge range of accommodation, suitable for couples, families, solo travellers and groups.
Cabin choices range from the cosy Rosetta Cabin, sleeping 4 people, to the huge Heysen cabin which comfortably sleeps 8. All cabins have well-appointed kitchens, comfortable sitting areas and private bathrooms. The kids will love the bunk beds and you’ll enjoy sitting out on the cabin verandah each evening, watching the sunset and soaking up the atmosphere.
There are comfortable self-contained units onsite. The 1-bedroom Granite Holiday Units, named after the famous Granite Island which sits just off the shore at Victor Harbor, is perfect for a couple. The 2- bedroom Granite Holiday Units comfortably sleep up to 6 people and all benefit from a shady patio and air conditioned comfort.
Victor Harbor Holiday Park is also ideal if you’ve brought the caravan or the tent. All sites are grassy with an abundance of shade. There are even ensuite sites available for your convenience.
The kids will love the many activities the park has on offer, including the waterslide, a swimming pool and playground. If they have brought their bikes or scooters there is a pump track for them to test their skills, and even a mini-golf course so the whole family can play.
While the kids are busy, all visitors have free use of the camp kitchen and the BBQs. There is a kiosk carrying plenty of snacks for hungry kids and a store for all of those last-minute needs.
The friendly tour desk can put you in touch with all kinds of things to do in the region from wildlife experiences and horse riding to wine tasting in the nearby McLaren Vale wine region.
