Lakes Bushland Caravan Park exudes bush charm.
This quiet and peaceful park specialises in spacious sites. Powered sites are available on grass, dirt, gravel, and rough grass, including drive-through and premium options. You can also camp on an unpowered site. Dogs are welcome by arrangement, and they’ve got their own off-leash play area to run around and meet fellow furry friends.
Located in Nicholson, the park is an easy drive from popular Gippsland locations like Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale, and Raymond Island. In less than half an hour, you can enjoy water activities, soak in hot springs, go koala spotting, and dine at local favourites like Lightfoot Wines and the Lake Tyers Beach Tavern. Take a day to descend into the Buchan Caves or cycle the East Gippsland Rail Trail. The local boat ramp is just five minutes’ drive away, where you can launch onto the Nicholson River and fish for your night’s dinner.
The park has a fully equipped camp kitchen, BBQs, and picnic tables for mealtimes, as well as clean amenities, laundry facilities, and a dump point. There are plenty of opportunities to have fun around the grounds, with a playground, recreation shed, and camp library. Roast marshmallows on the fire pit, dive into the swimming pool, and challenge your friends and family to a game of tennis, giant chess, or table tennis. Keep your eyes out for wildlife visitors, as you could see all sorts of native Australian animals, from echidnas at your feet to kookaburras in the trees.
With its rustic character, friendly atmosphere, and large campsites, Lakes Bushland Caravan Park is the perfect spot for a laid-back getaway. Experience it for yourself and book your stay today!
