Lakelands Caravan Park
Park features
The views at Lakelands Caravan Park are second to none.
On the banks of Lake Hume, this quiet, private holiday park offers both powered and unpowered sites. There is also a selection of glamping tents; chill your bottle of wine in the mini fridge, before watching the sun set from your deck with a cool drink in hand.
The large, open-air camp kitchen has two BBQs; sheltered from the elements, sizzle bacon and eggs for breakfast or cook up a classic BBQ dinner. The park has modern, clean, and accessible amenities blocks with toilets, showers, and laundries. Kids can stay entertained on the playground or bring their scooters and bikes to ride along the foreshore. Sites are dog-friendly, plus there is a nearby off-leash area.
The park is located in Tallangatta, which is a scenic, 30-minute drive from Wodonga. Lakelands Caravan Park is a short walk from the town’s main street with its 1950s architecture and shops. There are options for every meal – bakery for breakfast, pub for lunch, and a takeaway shop to bring your dinner back to home base – as well as the local grocer for every essential in between. View the historic Sandy the War Horse Memorial or walk up to the Tallangatta Lookout.
Lake Hume is your go-to for water activities - bring your bathers to make the most of the sunny days. Carry your takeaway dinner or BBQ feast down to the shore to enjoy a picnic with stunning views of the water and hills. Guests can connect onto the High Country Rail Trail to cycle or walk past the best of the region’s scenery. For hikers, Mount Granya State Park and Mount Lawson State Park are both within an hour’s drive. Foodies will find the Rutherglen Wine Region approximately one hour away, along with local delights at the seasonal Tangam-Kiewa Markets.
