Park Info

Nature takes centre stage at Warburton Holiday Park in the Upper Yarra Valley.

In a premier riverside location, only 80m from the water’s edge, you’ve got direct access to go swimming, fishing, and paddling, or simply relax on the banks. It’s a beautiful part of the world, from misty mornings to sunny days to crisp, cool evenings spent gathered around the fire.

The river curves around the border of the park, which means that a number of lucky campers can even score a site with river frontage (select double sites are available). Campfires are allowed on all powered and unpowered sites, so make sure you use one of the fire pits. Park facilities include a playground, camp kitchen, BBQs, picnic shelter, dump point, EV charging station, and guest laundry.

The park’s self-contained accommodation range is tailored to suit all sorts of travellers, whether you need an ensuite, pet-friendly, or accessible cabin. If you’re travelling in a big group, book the Lodge which sleeps up to eight guests. If you want to enjoy the waterfront, secure a riverside cabin. All cabins are fitted with reverse-cycle air conditioning, so that you stay cool on the warm days and cosy on the chilly ones.

Affectionally known as ‘Warby,’ this place is especially great for getting outdoors. Yarra Ranges National Park is full of treasures. Wander through a redwood forest or follow the O’Shannassy Aqueduct Trail. Ascend Mount Donna Buang for summertime rainforest walks and winter snowplay. The alpine landscape looks simply magical when it’s in winter wonderland mode, with snow-capped trees and misty air. Nearby, don’t miss the La La Falls in Yarra State Forest, or any of the fishing hotspots where you could reel in a brown or rainbow trout.

It’s only a short walk from the park to Warburton Water World, a free outdoor splash park for all ages that is open from September to April. Spend a day cycling along the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail or climb aboard a ride on the Puffy Billy Railway. Enjoy bushwalking, scenic drives, and riverside walking trails, and see the most famous of Warburton’s tall mountain ash trees, the Ada Tree. Visit local towns like Millgrove, Wesburn, and Healesville, where you’ll find the charming wildlife sanctuary.

From pizza to pub grub, simply head into the historic township if you want to eat out. It’s a two-minute drive or ten-minute walk up to the shops, with cafés, restaurants, and a supermarket. You’ll also find Arts Centre Warburton on the main street, and the Valley Market sets up shop behind the centre from 11am to 3pm on the first Sunday of the month.

Less than an hour and a half’s drive from Melbourne, Warburton Holiday Park is the perfect place for a weekend trip with friends and family or a longer escape if you’re in need of R&R. There’s no better therapy than kicking back with the sound of the flowing river as your holiday soundtrack. Feel the rush on your next getaway and book your stay at Warburton Holiday Park today!
