Nanga Shark Bay Caravan Park
Park features
At Nanga Shark Bay Caravan Park, you could be forgiven for thinking you’d arrived in paradise.
It doesn’t get more seaside than this location. Nanga Bay beckons for safe swimming and water activities like kayaking, kite surfing, and stand-up paddleboarding. The shallow bay is child-friendly, and the wide expanse of sand is just waiting for you to put your towel down and relax in the sun. The park also has a boat ramp to launch your fishing adventures.
Caravan and camping sites are all pet friendly, with both powered and unpowered options to suit anything from tents all the way to 30ft big rigs. For the best view in the park, snag a beach site and you’ll never have to leave the ocean views behind. Some of these spacious sites are just 50m from the sand! If you’re partial to self-contained accommodation, the park offers one-bedroom motel rooms which are ideal for couple or solo travellers, each featuring a queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, and your own air-conditioned, private space.
When it comes to mealtimes, there’s a BBQ area to cook up a feast. Stay connected with Wi-fi hotspots or take it easy in the hot spa. The park has a mini shop that’s stocked with essentials and there are sparkling ablution blocks to help you stay clean, dry, and tidy on your holiday. Please note that there is no potable water on site, so no matter how you choose to travel, you’ll need to bring your own drinking water with you.
Located in the protected World Heritage area of Shark Bay, Nanga Shark Bay Caravan Park is on the doorstep of incredible natural wonders, like the Monkey Mia bottlenose dolphins, the dramatic red cliffs of Francois Peron National Park, and the beautiful Shell Beach (one of few beaches in the world made entirely of shells). The unmissable Hamelin Pool Stromatolites are less than half an hour away, as is the scenic lookout at Eagle Bluff where you may spot dugongs, sharks, and rays swimming in the clear seawater. In Denham, watch a shark feeding and learn about marine creatures at Ocean Park Aquarium.
