Lake Argyle is one of the Kimberley’s most famous destinations and sits on one of Australia’s largest man-made freshwater lakes. Surrounded by the region’s most celebrated attractions, the views from Discovery Resorts - Lake Argyle are breathtaking, especially from the park’s stunning infinity pool which overlooks the lake.

Guests can experience the Kimberley via several tours that explore the area around Lake Argyle. Discover the incredible range of wildlife here including a large freshwater crocodile population, abundant bird life and a thriving ecosystem that is the subject of ongoing scientific research by the University of Western Australia.

There are multiple island groups to discover as well as the commercial fishing, diamond mining and hydro-electric power industries which you can witness firsthand.

Day trips from Kununurra are also available to some of the region’s most amazing natural features including the Bungle Bungle ranges, the Ord River Gorges and Lake Kununurra itself. Scenic flights and Helicopter tours are an amazing way to take your trip to the next level.

Discovery Resorts - Lake Argyle offers a variety of accommodation options for any length of stay, from unpowered camp sites with access to all of the resort facilities, including the infinity pool and family friendly restaurant and beer garden.

The Lake View villas are ideal for those who appreciate a touch of luxury and want to experience incredible vistas after a day exploring the great Australian outback.

Each of these fully self-contained villas are perched on the edge of the hillside and include a large timber decking that allows guests to overlook the stunning landscape that surrounds Lake Argyle.

The resort itself covers an area of more than 5 hectares with over 100 shaded van sites and ample room for unpowered camping. The resort has a range of air conditioned accommodation including the villas and 1 and 2-bedroom Kimberley cabins.

The park has clean and modern amenities that include a Camp Kitchen, Laundry, and a shared BBQ area that is available to all guests. The park is famous for its magnificent 35-meter infinity pool and spa that overlook the lake and provide breathtaking views of the entire East Kimberley. Ask the friendly staff and they will be more than happy to arrange equipment hire or supply you with all the necessary maps and information.
