From the break of day until the stars come out, capture moments of magic every hour at Lake Navarino Holiday Park.
Enveloped by state forest, this dog-friendly park offers powered sites, unpowered bush camping, and a range of accommodation. Stay in a timber weatherboard cabin, fitted with a charming log fireplace, private kitchen and bathroom facilities, and an outdoor deck where you can appreciate nature all around you. There are park homes and cosy motel units that overlook the bush, and a spacious cottage for larger groups that can sleep up to 10 guests (including a fully equipped kitchen and spa bathroom). Glamping tents are furnished with a queen bed, linen, bar fridge, private deck, and BBQ (additional kids beds can be requested at the time of booking).
There is an on-site café for your morning coffee and toastie, plus a shop at reception to buy basic groceries and ice creams. Facilities include a playground, amenities blocks, a coin-operated laundry, camp kitchen, and boat parking. Weather permitting, you can warm up around a campfire in the cooler months.
Lake Navarino Holiday Park is the perfect place to admire Western Australia’s flora and fauna, from the visiting Western Grey Kangaroos to the wildflowers that flourish in spring. The park is ideally located beside Lake Navarino (also known as Waroona Dam), providing access to spectacular lakeside views and exciting water activities. The reservoir is great for water skiing, kayaking, and boating, not to mention fishing for rainbow trout, red fin perch, and seasonal marron (recreational license required). On land, there are beautiful walking and cycling tracks.
The wider Peel Region is bursting with possibility. Explore the timber town of Dwellingup, where you can white water raft along the Murray River, zipline through the trees or catch a ride on the historic Hotham Valley Railway. Kids will love the pump track, playground, and picnic area at Railside Park, while keen bushwalkers can tackle local trails. The Waterous Loop on the world-class Munda Biddi Trail is essential riding for cyclists, plus there are nearby spots for mountain bike riding, horse riding, and birdwatching. Reach the coast in less than half an hour to spend a day at Preston Beach and Yalgorup National Park (highlights include the five-kilometre Lakeside Loop Trail and the Lake Clifton thrombolites). At the end of your day’s adventures, return to the tree-lined park and your comfy lodgings, ready to put your feet up—trust us, there’s no better place for it!
