The town of Tom Price is situated in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, nestled beneath the majestic red expanse of Mount Nameless. Purpose -built for mining 1500km north of Perth, Tom Price now is the ideal location for visiting the world famous Karijini National Park and the nearby Millstream Chichester National Park.
Tom Price Tourist Park is the perfect place to stop on an outback adventure, offering a number of accommodation options that will suit whether you are travelling with your caravan or tent, or are looking for a cabin. Its striking A-Frame Chalets sleep up to 4 in spilt level comfort, while the Green Cabins which offer clean and cosy accommodation for two people.
Tom Price Caravan Park has well grassed and shady powered sites where you can set up your tent or caravan. Guests have full use of the modern amenities including immaculate bathrooms, laundry, camp kitchen and BBQs. Dogs are also welcome. You can sit around one of the camp fires and take in the spectacular sky, or listen to the sounds of the desert while you enjoy a meal and relax. Kids will love the swimming pool as well as the playground.
Tom Price is spoiled for spectacular scenery with the Karijini National Park, the second largest national park in WA, on the doorstep. Plunge into the cool, crystal clear waters of a natural waterhole or clamber over boulders in place for millions of years. Visitors can gaze up at the sheer walls of one of the majestic gorges. You can climb Mount Nameless for a 360-degree views of the Hammersley Ranges or make the 6-hour hike up Mt Bruce (aka Punurrunha), the second-highest mountain in Western Australia – you’ll have earned the swim and the sundowner by the camp fire! There are organised tours of the town, mines and national parks – just ask the staff.
