Park Info
Shoalhaven Caravan Village sits right on the banks of the Shoalhaven River in the fishing village of Terara, just 1km from Nowra on the south coast of NSW. You have the best of a rural location within easy reach of the museums, galleries, restaurants and river cruises of Nowra.
Shoalhaven Caravan Village was created with caravanners and campers in mind with spacious powered sites, shady and covered with grass – all dog friendly.
The park offers a generous range of amenities for all guests. If you’ve arrived with the kids, there is a playground and a large swimming pool for them to enjoy while you set up camp and explore the surroundings. If you bring your boat, you can make use of the boat ramp, allowing you to get out on to the Shoalhaven River and try to catch any of the large range of fish which populate the local waters. When you return after a successful fishing day, you can cook up a meal for the family on the undercover BBQs or on the cosy campfire. As the stars come out, you can toast marshmallows, warm your feet and talk about the day’s catch until late into the evening.
For those who want a more sporty holiday, the park offers a tennis court or head to Nowra for kayaking, hiking and rock climbing, or comfortable river cruises. When the weather is great, the beaches around Shoalhaven are some of the best on the East Coast, including Jervis Bay which boasts the world’s whitest sands. Jervis Bay is where you can also enjoy a dolphin cruise.
For those interested in history, both local and natural, a drive through the Kangaroo Valley rainforests and Fitzroy Falls is a must, while historic Yalwal and the early goldmines sit just a short drive to the southwest. Shoalhaven Caravan Village has a tour desk where the friendly, local staff will help you make the most of your holiday.
