Park Info

Port Broughton Tourist Park at the uppermost end of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia is a classic family beach and fishing destination – with everything kids need for a good time. There’s a swimming pool, water slides, splash park, 9-hole mini golf, ninja playground, jumping pillow and a pump track that will have them whizzing about from dawn till dusk. There’s also free WiFi throughout.

The park is near a 400m long curving beach, which is a favourite for swimming and fishing, and it’s an easy walk to the little port town with shops, pub and even a little gallery. You can go sailing, stroll up the jetty and drop in for some fish and chips or fresh seafood or cook your own in the camp kitchen or the BBQ. Try the region’s famous big snapper or a schnitty or pizza from the local pubs.

Boating enthusiasts love the boat launching facilities at Pt Broughton with dual lane, twin boarding pontoons, providing all tide access. You can take a local fishing charter, go crabbing or take a Historical Walking Trail and the local clubs have activities from bowls and tennis to bingo.

And if you fancy going further afield, the Clare Valley wine region, the Southern Flinders Ranges and the Copper Coast towns of Moonta, Kadina and Wallaroo are all within easy reach.

The park offers a range of accommodation from deluxe 3 and 2-bedroom self-contained villas with water views down to the jetty, to budget cabins with shared amenities. Deluxe cabins have their own patio with BBQ and seating, bathroom, kitchen, and dining areas. Cottages and ensuite cabins cater for medium-sized families and couples and there’s even a dog-friendly cabin with fully enclosed under cover deck with a gate, dog kennel and air conditioning so your pet can recline in comfort on their summer holiday. All the cabins have linen, air conditioning, cooking facilities, TV and DVD and some have iron and ironing board. There’s also a well-equipped camp laundry.

Powered sites are set back from the foreshore and are large and level with crusher dust and shade cloth mats and they’re suitable for all caravans, RVs and tents. Some are sunny, some are shady, some are drive-through and some sites even have their own ensuites. It’s good quality beach holiday fun that people keep coming back for.
