Yorke Peninsula
Yorke Peninsula | South Australia
A Family Playground of Pristine Coastline
Although you can reach it in about an hour from Adelaide, Yorke Peninsula is still a world away you shouldn’t miss. Families have been flocking to ‘Yorke’s’ for generations, known for its stunning beaches, friendly coastal towns, and popular fishing ports.
With over 700 kilometres of coast to explore – all of it in pristine condition – and beach-fronted National Parks that scream, ‘walk me,’ the Yorke Peninsula is one of South Australia’s most accessible seaside destinations.
Seafood lovers enjoy the freshest of crabs, crays, and King George Whiting, which are always on the menu here. History buffs can also stay fascinated by visiting some of the region’s vintage shops and discovering antique artefacts that tell the Yorke Peninsula story.
Marion Bay at the point of the ‘foot’ is a must-do, as is Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, which offers breathtaking views to sea. There are several towns worth a visit, though, and we encourage you to explore them all!
