Park Info
South Goulburn Caravan Park is perfectly positioned to give you easy access to the fabulous attractions in the Southern Tablelands region of New South Wales.
Two hours from Sydney and just under an hour from Canberra, South Goulburn Caravan Park offers exceptional cabin accommodation and a range of sites perfect for caravans, RVs and motorhomes of all shapes and sizes.
This park features natural bushland and comprises villas, studios, cabins, dongas (workers pods), plus powered and unpowered sites. Some sites are drive-through.
The two-bedroom Homestead or Merino Villas are modern, self-contained options offering everything you need in holiday accommodation. Both feature flat-screen TV and DVD in the living area, sofa, full kitchen facilities, dining table and chairs, reverse cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Add to this an ensuite, free Wi-Fi, and an outdoor setting under your veranda. The Homestead includes a fold-out sofa.
The one-bedroom Merino Studio and the older style Ringers and Shearers Cabins are more for the budget-conscious but no less appointed. All are self-contained and feature reverse cycle air-conditioning, TV, full kitchen or kitchenette with small dining setting, ensuite, and electric blankets. The Ringers Cabins are dog-friendly too. The single, self-contained Dongas (workers pods) are available for short-term workers in the region.
Caravan and camping sites at this Goulburn holiday park are spacious, shady and can accommodate just about any size van or motorhome. These are also dog-friendly and close to amenities and facilities: think fully equipped camp kitchen, children’s playground, free BBQs, guest laundry, dump point, and kiosk with tour information desk.
Getting away from the city and into the fresh country air is what rural holidays are all about. Regional experiences include walking through woodland, rock climbing in Bungonia National Park, or touring the Wombeyan Caves, one hours’ drive from the Goulburn. Or meander along the Wollondilly River Walkway, extending for four kilometres beside the serene river.
Goulburn itself is a bustling regional centre with farming roots. Discover the culture, history and heritage of Australia’s first official inland city. Venture out and enjoy the many shops, restaurants, cafés, pubs, and clubs in the welcoming town.
Be sure to drop into the Big Merino for a beautiful range of Australian wool clothing and products and those all-important photographs. Take a self-guided heritage tour of the town including the Rail Heritage Centre and Historic Waterworks Museum.
Enjoy a scare Goulburn Ghost Tour and visit Goulburn War Memorial and Museum. And for the anglers, there’s excellent fishing at nearby Crookwell’s sparkling streams or Wyangla Dam, two hours away.
Make Goulburn a part of your NSW itinerary, exploring and discovering this regional gem from your excellent accommodation at South Goulburn Caravan Park.
