Park Info
If exploring the very best of tropical Far North Queensland sounds enticing, Crystal Cascades Holiday Park is the ideal hub to indulge your love of nature, relax in tranquil surrounds and enjoy a touch of luxury.

Offering a wide range of accommodation options from fully self-contained resort-style and pet-friendly villas to well-shaded powered and unpowered sites with panoramic views of the mountainous World Heritage listed Gondwana Rainforest, there is something to suit all budgets here.

Don’t be surprised if your morning starts with a visit from any of the wide variety of tropical birdlife that calls this park home, nor if your greeted by some of the population of friendly butterflies who have also taken up residence.  Also look out for the spectacular white lipped tree frogs who won’t be afraid to visit your breakfast deck!

If those colours don’t inspire you, not far away from the park are the Crystal Cascade Waterfalls it takes its name from, a pristine swimming hole hidden amongst tropical rainforest and comprised of impressive granite boulders. For those who seek a bit more adventure, canyoning tours are available here.

Bushwalks from this park are highly recommended, as is a visit to any number of nearby locations that put you in the heart of tropical Far North Queensland.  Although only a 20-minute drive from Cairns City Centre and its famous Esplanade, this location feels like a world away from any kind of hustle and bustle, which explains why it remains so envied.

Tours can be arranged to places like the Atherton Tablelands, Daintree Forest and of course the Great Barrier Reef, however, closer to the park places like Cairns Botanic Gardens, Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, the Kuranda Scenic Railway and Cairns Lagoon are all family-friendly activities that won’t cost the earth.

Birdwatching is popular among many of the guests that return to this park, as is bicycle riding, swimming in the resort style pool, and taking advantage of facilities including a large Camp Kitchen and poolside BBQ and Entertainment area. There is also a spa to really unwind in, while children love the nature playground and they’ll never be bored at any of the nearby produce markets. Pineapples anyone?

Also nearby are Queensland’s chain of stunning Northern beaches, which earn their reputation as some of the most beautiful in the world. The most iconic of these is Palm Cove, famed for its 500-year-old melaleuca trees between Cairns and Port Douglas. Just around the corner is Ellis Beach, where tranquil waters and a string of coconut trees border an impressively mountainous rainforest. Trinity Beach is nestled between two headlands and is perfect for active travellers willing to explore its walking tracks, while Yorkey’s Knob is something of a hidden treasure with wide open spaces perfect for energetic families.

Unsurprisingly, Crystal Cascades is another G’day Park that is easy to book and hard to leave. Constantly on the receiving end of glowing reviews online, its combination of location, first-class amenities and wide range of accommodation options make it an enviable spot for an idyllic tropical getaway.
