The park offers large and shady dog-friendly powered and unpowered sites. It also has a large range of cabins, villas and studio accommodation, including Budget Units with a private ensuite bathroom and well-appointed kitchenette – some are even dog friendly. Dog-friendly Studio Rooms are also available for the solo traveller.
Bungalows provide a comfortable sitting area, dining space and kitchenette. Visitors will also enjoy a flat screen TV, air conditioning and ceiling fans.
Families can find villas with 2 bedrooms and a triple bunk; kitchen facilities and a place to sit, relax and watch TV. The Sunset Tourist Park also has a swimming pool and a well-appointed camp kitchen for all guests to enjoy. There’s a kiosk and store onsite and the park is an easy 1.7km walk into the centre of Mount Isa where you have a choice of places to eat or shop. Visitors can explore the spectacular Boodjamulla National Park and the neighbouring Riversleigh World Heritage Site and marvel over the Australian fossilised mammals. You can also visit the unique Mt. Isa underground hospital and museum or take a boat trip on nearby Lake Moondarra with its picturesque shoreline. No visit to Mt.
