Rawnsley Park Station is a 12,000 hectare sheep station overlooking the southern side of the iconic Wilpena Pound, right on the edge of the majestic Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park. It's the ideal spot to explore, discover and experience more than 540 million years of timeless wonder and history.
Rawnsley Park Station accommodation options range from holiday units to basic campsites.
The well-appointed one, two and three-bedroom holiday units are fully self-contained and ideal for a Flinders Ranges holiday stay, and for exploring nearby Wilpena Pound, Hawker and Parachilna. Enjoy views of Wilpena Pound and the surrounding ranges.
Those who tow or love to camp can experience an authentic bush location. Beautiful bushland setting, native trees, and dog-friendly, this is an authentic outback caravan park with little luxuries included to make your stay even more comfortable. There’s an impressive camp kitchen, undercover alfresco dining, pool and a licensed kiosk selling alcohol, groceries, souvenirs, and fuel. Add to this BBQs, campfires, laundry facilities, tour desk and a dump point.
This Flinders Ranges accommodation is perfectly situated for an adventure that takes in the best the area has to offer. Ancient gorges with gum-lined creeks, rock pools, sheer cliffs, possibly the best views in South Australia and abundant flora and fauna are at your fingertips. Drink in the history and culture of the local Adnyamathanha people, and you can even experience the majesty of the Flinders Ranges and spectacular Wilpena Pound from above. Don't forget to visit the many outback towns including nearby Hawker, Blinman, Arkaroola, Parachilna and Leigh Creek.
There are also bushwalking, mountain biking, and 4WDriving trails in all directions. At the end of a long day, if you're too tired to cook, the acclaimed Woolshed restaurant is a mere 15-minute walk or five-minute car ride away.
