Park Info

From the moment you arrive at Kanasta Caravan Park, you’ll be drawn into its spell. Located in a quiet court five minutes’ walk from the Rye foreshore, this park has retro charm unlike any other holiday park.

Their range of vintage caravans and cabins leaves you spoilt for choice. Each lovingly decorated and named caravan is its own work of art, with comfortable seating, luxury bedding, a TV, microwave, split-system air conditioning, and retro furniture. Caravans come in both two- and four-berth varieties, some with an electric cooktop. The park’s freshly renovated amenities blocks add a modern touch to keep your experience clean and comfortable.

The park’s cabins are thoughtfully styled (including a few that follow the retro theme) and equipped with a dining table, lounge, cooking facilities, TV and DVD player, air conditioning, and an outdoor deck with seating and a BBQ. Homely holiday houses adjoin the park for larger groups. Dogs are welcome in designated cabins and caravans for an added fee, fifty percent of which is donated to Mornington Peninsula Dog Rescue.

The tree-lined, paved roads are safe for kids to scoot and ride around the park. Facilities include a playground, covered BBQ area, picnic tables, laundry, volleyball court, baby bathroom, and a games room - featuring table tennis, pool, arcade games, pinball, a TV and DVD library, mini basketball ring, book swap, and jukebox to continue the park’s nostalgic feeling.

The Rye foreshore is a short walk away, with its pier, beach, and the Ryes Up Community Playground. As you stroll along the shopping strip, stop at Vulcano Gelato to make your tastebuds explode! During the summer holidays, the foreshore reserve transforms into the Wittingslow Carnival where you can load up on coupons to try as many rides and games as possible.

The Mornington Peninsula is at your fingertips. Shop ’til you drop along the Sorrento main street and grab a sweet serving from The Vanilla Slice Café. Relax at the Peninsula Hot Springs or indulge at The Cups Estate.Hike through Point Nepean National Park for coastal views or go on a beach ride with Gunnamatta Trail Rides. Families should make a beeline for Enchanted Adventure – “the home of tree surfing” – and while you’re there, take the Arthurs Seat Eagle gondola to the highest point of the peninsula. Catch an evening movie screening at the Dromana Drive-In or peruse local morning markets (including the Tootgarook Primary School Market, Bittern Market, and Boneo Community Market). Did we mention the crystal-clear beaches and surfing?

One hour from Melbourne, plus five minutes from the beach, equals the perfect equation for a beachside getaway. Book yours today at Kanasta Caravan Park.
