Park Info

Harrietville Caravan Park is an all-year-round delight. With the town’s proximity to Mount Hotham (30km), Dinner Plain (42km), and Falls Creek (75km), it’s no surprise that Harrietville is a tried-and-true base during ski season—but the secret is that this place has so much to see and do, no matter when you visit.

Summer swims in the Tronoh Dredge Hole. Riverside picnics amongst the autumn foliage. Flying down the winter ski slopes. Hiking past the springtime wildflowers to the peak of Mount Feathertop.

In a brilliant location on the fringes of Alpine National Park, the park has a range of on-site caravans, which vary from three- to six-berth, all with built-in kitchen facilities (including an oven, fridge, and microwave), heaters, fans, and a TV. As for camping, powered and unpowered sites are surrounded by alpine scenery, from the abundance of trees to the peaceful river. Harrietville Caravan Park is also a pet-friendly park, welcoming furry friends to stay on sites only.

Park facilities include a BBQ shelter, camp kitchen, playground, modern amenities, coin-operated laundry, and a kiosk. When the winter chill hits, head to the park’s open fireplace or hire a free fire drum for your site (you can purchase firewood from the kiosk). When the sun is beaming, enjoy a picnic and wade in the river with the mountains in the distance.

Alpine National Park and Mount Buffalo National Park are nearby adventure playgrounds, perfect for hiking, mountain biking, 4WDing, white-water rafting, and more.
