Rottnest Island - Superior Access Tent

Our Universal Access Tents have been designed with more space to accommodate those with physical limitations and disabilities. These are available with an added bunk annex to accommodate families and carers. The four disability access tents have been specifically designed for accessibility, with a fit out that complies with Australian Standard 1428.1 Getting to and from the property: Discovery – Rottnest Island is an easy and scenic 1km walk from the ferry jetty through the main Rottnest Island township. As the island is predominantly free of cars, we only provide transfers on request and most guests enjoy exploring the island as they make their way to their accommodation on foot. However, if you have mobility constraints and require a transfer from the ferry to your accommodation, please let us know so that we can put arrangements in place. Upon boarding the ferry your luggage will be tagged and delivered to Discovery – Rottnest Island (as is the case for all accommodation providers on Rottnest) so there’s no need for you to take your own bag between the ferry and property. Your luggage will be delivered to your tent if it is tagged. Luggage can take up to 2 hours to be delivered to the property after your arrival so we do recommend packing a day bag with your bathers and any personal items you need. Towels will be available at the property for you to use. Check-in for the property is 2pm and check-out is 10am, so please bear these timings in mind when booking the ferry. When you check in, please ask us when your luggage needs to be ready for collection for departure.
