Discovery Parks – Eden is situated on the south coast of New South Wales, an easy three-hour drive from Canberra. You arrive amidst a spectacular landscape and are met with magnificent coastal views, punctuated with ragged cliffs and crashing waves. As you drive in, you’ll find yourself looking out towards the beautiful Twofold Bay which, during the season, is a visiting ground for Humpback and Southern Right Whales.
There is a huge range of accommodation available. If you’re looking for a cabin there are choices to suit every size of group or family and every budget. You can select from the Superior or Deluxe cabins, all of which offer spacious kitchens, comfortable sitting areas and balconies to sit and enjoy the view. For the more budget conscious, the Economy cabin is ideal. Sleeping up to four people in comfort, they offer clean and modern accommodation at a very reasonable price.
Caravanners and campers will enjoy the caravan park site options, with powered, unpowered and ensuite sites available. Discovery Parks – Eden is also pet friendly so you’re four-legged family members can enjoy an escape as much as you will.
The park offers a huge range or onsite facilities to enjoy. These include badminton, basketball and tennis courts, as well as a bouncing pillow and playground for the kids. There’s also a gorgeous resort-style swimming pool. There’s plenty of room in the camp kitchen to prepare a meal and there are BBQs onsite which are idea for cooking the day’s fishing catch.
Eden and it’s surrounding area is a haven for nature lovers, with lovely walking and riding trails to explore, as well as whale watching during the season and both bird and wildlife parks nearby. A visit to the Beowa National Park is definitely worthwhile with its ragged rock formations and breathtaking scenery. History lovers will also enjoy the many lighthouses you can visit along the coast, as well as the Eden Killer Whale Museum which is filled with facts about historical whaling and the majestic creatures which now visit the area so frequently.
There are also plenty of opportunities to head out on a boat for fishing or fun, or the family can go kayaking down the nearby Towomba River. The town of Eden itself boasts a number of charming cafes and is ideal for a leisurely stroll.
