Kookaburra Holiday Park
Park features
Make the most of the Cassowary Coast with a getaway to Kookaburra Holiday Park.
The park is characterised by its towering palm trees and luscious tropical foliage. Powered sites are located on slabs, including drive-through sites for larger vehicles, while accommodation comes in a variety of configurations so you can find the cabin, villa, or motel unit that’s right for you. All cabins are fitted with air conditioning to stay refreshing and cool, and most come with ensuites and kitchenettes. The park is pet friendly, extending from sites to accommodation (with approval), so your four-legged friend is more than welcome.
Facilities include a sparkling swimming pool, camp kitchen, communal BBQs, clean amenities (including a family and accessible bathroom), free wi-fi, boat wash, and coin-operated laundry machines. The park is conveniently located in the centre of Cardwell, with a takeaway shop only a five-minute walk up the road, plus a grocer, bottle shop, and eateries in town to fuel your holiday.
When you stay at Kookaburra Holiday Park, you’re perfectly positioned between the forest and beach. Walk along the foreshore to the jetty and playground, finishing with a morning coffee from one of the beachside cafés. Go fishing, launch your boat from the public ramp, or join a ferry tour to explore Hinchinbrook Island. In the neighbouring state forest, the Cardwell Forest Drive is a spectacular journey, stopping at a lookout, Attie Creek Falls, Dead Horse Creek, and the Cardwell Spa Pool. Walking and mountain biking trails take you into the thick of the forest, where you can find many beautiful waterfalls, including Wallaman Falls (Australia’s highest single drop waterfall).
From soaking up the sun to dipping into sheltered creeks and swimming spots, plan your Far North Queensland escape to Kookaburra Holiday Park today.
