Park Info
Wallaroo is a historic mining town on South Australia’s famous Copper Coast on the Yorke Peninsula. The town attracts all kinds of visitors, some searching for fascinating history, others looking for fabulous fishing and some just want a relaxing beach holiday on one of the safest beaches in South Australia.
Wallaroo is known for its great fishing and crabbing so after a successful day with the reel and line, you can return to the Wallaroo Holiday park and use the boat and fish cleaning area or the convenient crab cookers, perfect for you to enjoy your catch while it is still fresh from the sea.
Wallaroo Holiday Park is a short distance from Wallaroo centre and caters for all sizes of group or family. It has a range of unit and cabin style accommodation. The 2 and 3- bedroom units have all been built with absolute beach frontage, so you can step out of your door and onto the sand in the morning, or sit with your feet up on your verandah in the evening watching the sun go down over the waves. Each unit boasts modern fittings and is immaculately presented with a comfortable sitting area, generous kitchen and flat screen TV. There are even a number of units with a spa so you can rest your muscles after a busy day of sight-seeing or playing on the beach.
Wallaroo Holiday Park has a range of cabins as well as villa style accommodation and apartments to suit every visitor. Enjoy the beautiful views of Wallaroo Bay as you relax outside your cabin with a drink, or cook up a great meal in the well-appointed kitchens in each one.
If you’ve arrived in Wallaroo with the caravan, Wallaroo Caravan Park has almost 100 shady, powered sites, some with absolute beach frontage and all with stunning views. Visitors also have access to the huge range of facilities including a modern playground and well stocked recreation room. While the kids are busy, you can use the camp kitchen to cook up a meal or make use of the BBQs in the undercover electric BBQ area.
An onsite kiosk provides essentials and the friendly staff operate a convenient tour desk, providing information about the local area and attractions, including museums, towns, tours, art and craft galleries, restaurants and cafés and historical sites on offer. Don’t miss the historical mining sites, the Marina and Port including the great Wallaroo Jetty for fishing and diving or the town walking trail which will introduce you to the fascinating history of the area.
