For individual travellers or hiking groups, the park offers spacious dormitory accommodation. With bunk bed sleeping and shared kitchen and dining areas, this is the ideal choice for the visitor looking for a place to rest their head in comfort between days of exploring the vast national park. There is also 4-berth dormitory accommodation available for families or groups, benefitting from comfortable sleeping arrangements and well-appointed shared kitchen, dining and bathroom facilities.
If you’re looking for private cottage or cabin accommodation there are plenty of options. All cabins and cottages are wood-panelled and modern, with private bathrooms, kitchens and plenty of heating to chase away the mountain chills. There are also both powered and unpowered campsites available for caravans or tents, nestled amongst the towering gum trees and low bushland, offering natural privacy and wonderful outback silence.
The park has a camp kitchen, BBQs and laundry facilities for guests to use.
The Cradle Mountain Lake St. Clair National Park which borders on to Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain is filled with hiking, breathtaking scenery, wildlife discovery walks and photo opportunities. No matter your fitness level or ability, there are hiking and walking options available for everyone. You can also go canyoning to access some of the hidden away places in the national park. If you’re after a more relaxed way of enjoying the area, you can indulge in a day spa or book yourself on a star-gazing experience. You can even head out after dark to discover the nocturnal life which inhabits the region, including wombats and the shy Tasmanian Devil.
