It’s the ideal spot for a fishing holiday in the warmer months or the base for ski-ing trip in the winter. The park offers a range of well-equipped waterfront cabin accommodation and a 3-bedroom lodge overlooking the Cathedral Ranges. All have linen. Kids love the peddle cars, jumping pillow, solar heated swimming pool and tennis court. Powered and non-powered sites are available, some drive-through, and some on the water. Just 90 minutes from Melbourne on the banks of the tranquil Goulburn River is picturesque Breakaway Twin Rivers Caravan Park. The immaculate leafy green park is an ideal fishing spot, with plenty for the kids to do, especially during holiday seasons when the park runs activities such as movie nights and colouring competitions. There’s a solar heated pool, tennis court, jumping pillow and peddle carts in the park and plenty of land and water activities in the surrounding mountain and lake districts.

The park is in Acheson, just 6km from Alexandra with colourful gardens and historical precinct. The town is home to the Timber Tramway and Museum where visitors can see artifacts of the timber industry including steam engines and you can ride a 600m train loop. The region is famous for its fresh produce and distinctive wines and there are many restaurants to choose from nearby. In the winter, you are close to ski fields and you can even have a drum fire outside of the fire season.

Visitors can explore Lake Eidon and the surrounding National Park, rich with wildflowers and birdlife. The region is popular with cyclists, having the Buxton Mountain Bike Park, Lake Mountain and the Great Victorian Rail Trail in easy reach and you can do a range of hikes and bushwalks.

Breakaway Twin Rivers Caravan Park offers Riverside deluxe cabins sleeping up to six people with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The Cathedral Lodge has 3 bedrooms with 2 queens and a bunk room, a deck overlooking the lovely Cathedral Ranges and a private back deck. The open plan ensuite Riverside Cabins have a verandah overlooking the river and an elevated Riverside Studio. All cabins are well equipped with linin, cutlery and crockery and some have their own laundry.

There are powered and unpowered sites on the riverfront and you can sit by your camp with a fishing line in the water and some are drive through although many by the water must be reversed into.

The park has a kiosk with food essentials and cold drinks, including alcohol. It also sells, BBQ gas, fishing licences, wood and ice and hires fire drums in the non-fire season.
