Moments from the beach and surrounded by coastal bushland, Hopetoun Beachside Caravan Park is a picture of natural beauty.
On the doorstep of Fitzgerald River National Park, both campers and cabin guests are welcome at this divine, secluded location. (Pets are welcome on sites, too.) Park your caravan, motorhome, camper trailer, fifth wheeler, campervan, or tent on either a powered or unpowered site. No matter how big your home-away-from-home is, they’ve got a place for you. There is also a range of accommodation for solo, couple, and family travellers, including new accessible cabins and ensuite cabins.
The park has four direct paths to the shore, so you’re always guaranteed nearby beach access. Being close to town, the local cafés, bakery, IGA, bottle shop, and playground are just a few streets away. Park facilities include a recreation room, camp kitchen, communal firepit, laundry, ablution blocks, and small playgrounds. The area is booming with fishing opportunities, both land-based and on the water, so the park has a fish-cleaning station to prepare your daily catch for dinnertime. As you explore the local estuaries and inlets, you could come home with black bream, salmon, tailor, skippy, or herring.
Fitzgerald River National Park beckons for bushwalking, canoeing, and sightseeing with tracks suitable for both 2WD and 4WD vehicles. It’s a top spot for birdwatching and wildflower sightings (especially in spring, though some bloom all year round). There are more than 1800 flowering plant species and 135 endemic to the area. Incredible local bushwalking trails include the 2.6-kilometre return East Mount Barren hike, the Hopetoun–Ravensthorpe Railway Heritage Walk Trail, and the Hakea Walk Trail. For a short excursion, it takes just over half an hour to see the impressive silo art in Ravensthorpe. Closer to home, head up to the Wilkinson Lookout at sunset hour to watch the sunlight dancing on the ocean. This stretch of coastline is known for secret beaches and lagoons; a few park favourites include the rockpools of 5 Mile Beach, the lagoon of 12 Mile Beach, and the stunning Starvation Bay.
Hopetoun Beachside Caravan Park has sun, surf, and serenity in spades. If that’s what you’re craving on your next getaway, it’s time to book your holiday escape!
