Beautiful one day, Cairns the next
When you are at the gateway to one of the world’s great natural wonders, you’d think you’d stop trying to impress people. Not Cairns. As a Far North Queensland destination of choice, this coastal city packs a tropical punch.
Boasting a climate that mostly says, ‘why are you wearing pants?’, there’s fun to be had all over the place. Attracting an international crowd at any time of year, it’s certainly not a one-trick pony. The Daintree Forest and Mossman Gorge are just over yonder and a group of islands called the Whitsundays beckon anyone silly enough to do their 9 to 5 here.
Adventure in Cairns is constantly on the menu, and the nightlife, well, it’s rollicking fun. That doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the finer things in life, though, especially if you’re into seafood.
Cairns, living proof that there is wisdom in the phrase, ‘life’s a beach.’
