Brisbane Holiday Village, Queensland

Planning a city escape to Brisbane, and looking for a holiday park to provide value and entertainment? Brisbane Holiday Village has a delightful swimming pool, whether you're fully immersed or watching the light sparkle on the surface from a sun lounge. The shallow lagoon pool with mushroom fountains is always popular with children, as well as the playground, tennis court, multi-purpose sports field, and 18-hole mini golf course. The city is less than fifteen minutes away to make South Bank your playground; ride the Wheel of Brisbane, peruse the markets, swim at Streets Beach, and look around the arts precinct. To see Story Bridge, take the kids on a cruise along the Brisbane River or dare to tackle the Bridge Climb. Mount Coot-Tha Reserve has plenty of bushwalking and mountain biking trails, and you can hold a koala at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. On top of all that Brisbane has to offer, it's not far to check out the Gold Coast's theme parks, either…

Thoughtfully-styled cabins are a major plus—overlook the park from a luxurious Penthouse Cabin or chill out on the deck of a Vogue Cabin.

Lake Tinaroo Holiday Park, Queensland

Far North Queensland has never looked better than a stay at Lake Tinaroo Holiday Park. Proximity to the splash park will be a hit with the kids, not to mention the bouncing pillow! Hire stand-up paddleboards and kayaks for the lake or grab a life jacket and join a white-water rafting adventure on the Barron River. If you want a tasty takeaway dinner without needing to leave the park or wait for a delivery driver, there's an on-site café and general store. That said, you could always fish for barramundi by day and cook it on the park BBQs by night. Cairns is a charming tropical city, with highlights including its botanic gardens, aquarium, riding the Kuranda Scenic Railway through the rainforest, and soaking in waterfall swimming holes.

The two-bedroom Poolside Paradise Villas sleep up to six people (accessible cabins are available), and come with a smart TV, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, laundry, dining area, air conditioning, and outdoor deck overlooking the pool area.

Discovery Parks - Forster, New South Wales

With unbeatable access to the Wallamba River for your favourite water sports and outdoor activities, not to mention proximity to Forster Beach, you get the best of both worlds at Discovery Parks - Forster. Parents can rest while the children play, with plentiful in-park features like a refreshing water park, swimming pool, pump track, games room, pedal karts, boat ramp, and a kids club. Beyond the park's perimeter, go dolphin and whale watching, and in the summer months, head north to Big Buzz Fun Park. Gain a spectacular view climbing up to the Cape Hawke lookout or Bennetts Head Lookout, or admire nature as you walk through the native rainforest in the lakeside precinct. For something a little different, visit Australia's largest collection of motorcycles at The National Motorcycle Museum. Whether you're strolling around the lake, zipping down the waterslide, or lazing in the resort-style pool, it's a great spot for whole family fun.

A Deluxe Two-Bedroom Riverfront Cabin affords you the best views (and for a small fee, they're even pet-friendly). With a fully equipped kitchen, light-filled lounge, room for six people, and a serene balcony, you couldn't ask for more.

Discovery Parks - Pambula Beach, New South Wales

It's got a reputation as a summertime winner, but the secret is Discovery Parks - Pambula Beach feels like summer all year round! It's your choice between the heated indoor pool haven or outdoor lagoon-style pool and water park. Kangaroos are frequent visitors and often turn up to spectate your round of mini golf. Add in a bouncing pillow, rage cage, pedal karts, activity room, playground, and trampolines, and you've got a recipe for kids holiday magic. Pambula is home to a beautiful river and beach (hello kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding), and the park is conveniently nestled in the middle. It's a short drive to explore Beowa National Park or you can walk the Pambula River Walking Track. Tackle rides and rollercoasters at Magic Mountain Merimbula and enjoy a wildlife encounter with Aussie animals at the Potoroo Palace wildlife sanctuary.

Board a train at the Moonta Mines Tourist Railway for a guided tour of the national heritage area.
