Discovery Parks - Broome

Western Australia is a wonderland waiting to be explored on your next holiday. Whether you’re going to the Coral Coast or heading south to the Margaret River region, you’ll be captivated by beautiful beaches, wildlife encounters, and activities for kids and kids at heart alike. We’ve narrowed down some family favourite G’day Parks in the west for your family to call home.

Discovery Parks - Bunbury Foreshore

Are you a family who loves the ocean and the outdoors? Located close to Koombana Bay, Discovery Parks - Bunbury Foreshore is a marine lover’s paradise with a wide range of in-park facilities. Hire bikes, stand-up paddleboards, and pedal karts, then take a turn on the tennis or basketball court. Their seasonal swimming pool and splash park are irresistible on sunny days, while the bouncing pillow, games room, kids club, and pump track provide lots of amusement. Koombana Beach is an excellent place to spot dolphins, so why not pair it with a visit to Bunbury’s Dolphin Discovery Centre? Learn how to surf with Bunbury Surf School, or keep active on the town’s cycling paths, mangrove walk, and enormous skate park. The Geographe Wine Region is only 20 kilometres away, while natural delights abound in Bunbury Wildlife Park and the Tuart Forest Walk.

A Deluxe Three-Bedroom Waterfront Cabin is great value, sleeping up to seven people with a private bathroom, large kitchen, heating, and inlet and city views from your outdoor seating area.

Mandurah Caravan and Tourist Park

Only 50 minutes south of Perth, your family will never be short of things to do at Mandurah Caravan and Tourist Park. In-park activities include a bouncing pillow, playground, outdoor games, and a delightful swimming pool with a spiralling waterslide. The park runs a kids club during the school holidays and has an on-site kiosk, gift shop, and book swap, not to mention the coffee van that stops by most mornings. The Peel-Harvey Estuary is less than half an hour away to go fishing and boating. Marvel as you walk around the miniature sculptures and solve your way through the maze at Amaze Miniature Park. Day trips include climbing the treetops of Dwellingup, hiking through Yalgorup National Park, or spotting the thriving dolphin population at Halls Head Beach.

A Three-Bedroom Villa is suitable for six people with a king, double, and two single beds. These villas have a large lounge area, self-contained kitchen, dining, bathroom, laundry facilities, air conditioning, and an outdoor setting with a BBQ—what more could you ask for?

Discovery Parks - Broome

Dig into the far north coast of Western Australia at Discovery Parks – Broome. The park is close to town, but even closer to the beach! Walk to the nearby public water park on the foreshore and grab an ice cream while you’re at it. For sights unlike anywhere else, take a tour to the turquoise tides of Horizontal Falls, or see a crocodile feeding at Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park and Animal Refuge. Surrounded by shady areas with the ocean in the distance, the park has a delightful resort-style pool.

Discovery Parks – Broome boasts a range of cabins with sleek interior design and bountiful space to relax in. Our top choice is a Deluxe Two-Bedroom Access Cabin (Oceanview), which sleeps up to five people. It’s also accessible and dog-friendly (additional $50 cleaning fee applies), so everybody’s welcome! Your large timber deck overlooks the ocean for a peaceful, picturesque happy hour location, while inside you’ll find a spacious open plan living and kitchen area. For an extra bunk bed and a pool view, choose a Deluxe Two-Bedroom Cabin (Pool View).

Experience Lancelin Holiday Park

Embark on a beachside escape to Experience Lancelin Holiday Park. Ninety minutes north of Perth, the Turquoise Coast beckons with its pristine beaches for swimming, surfing, and water sports. The park has an indoor heated swimming pool and spa, plus an activity room and tour desk. Jump beneath the bright sails on the bouncing pillow, before playing all day on the playground. Grab your morning coffee and lunchtime toasties from the on-site coffee van before your adventures begin. Take a sandboard, dirt bike, or four-wheel drive to Lancelin Sand Dunes for hours of fun or go fishing with a local charter company. A day trip to the Pinnacles Desert is well worth the drive; no matter when you visit, the 25,000-year-old limestone formations make this national park a one-of-a-kind experience.

Sleep tight in a Two-Bedroom Cabin, with room for five people to enjoy the spacious rooms and ocean views.

Karrinyup Waters Resort

City or beach? At Karrinyup Waters Resort, you don’t have to choose! The park’s enormous heated swimming pool and spa is fantastic in itself, but with so much decking and shaded seating, it’s equally enjoyable to relax by the poolside on a sunny day. Add in the playground and bouncing pillow, and your kids will be beside themselves with excitement. It only takes 15 minutes to drive into Perth’s CBD, where you can shop, browse galleries, and ride the iconic waterfront Elizabeth Quay Carousel. Perth’s stunning coastline, including the famous Scarborough Beach, is also a short drive away for days at the beach.

A Two-Bedroom Family Cabin has room for up to six people. A fully equipped kitchen means you can prepare and enjoy meals as a family, along with a living/dining area and a large bathroom with a free-standing bath.

Lake Brockman Tourist Park

Families and Lake Brockman Tourist Park are a perfect match. The park has a range of cabins or glamping experiences to suit your family’s size and needs. Enjoy the on-site café for delicious breakfast and lunch, or head into the Harvey township to discover award-winning wineries. Make memories on a family cycling journey along the Munda Biddi trail or stay closer to home base. Kids can while away the hours on the park’s playground and BMX pump tracks, and you can launch your boat straight onto the lake from their ramp. The dam is a top spot for swimming, canoeing, trout fishing, or waterskiing, while the forest is abundant with walking trails. All of this, surrounded by state forest, overlooking the Logue Brook Dam? Don’t mind if we do!

See through the trees from your Family Tent that comes with a kitchenette (including cooking equipment, a bar fridge, and a Nespresso coffee machine), decking, and a fire pit for use in the winter months. Alternately, stay in a cabin that sleeps up to six people.

Discovery Parks - Busselton

See a new side of South Western Australia at Discovery Parks - Busselton. The park has direct beach access to Geographe Bay, and an indoor heated swimming pool means you can swim no matter the weather. Hire a kayak to float over the waves or throw out a line and fish. The kids will love clambering over the playground by day and nighttime possum spotting among the peppermint trees. Busselton’s iconic jetty and underwater observatory are unmissable, then see who can reach the centre of the Yallingup Maze first. There’s never any chance of being bored, because the Margaret River region boasts incredible caves, beaches, national parks, and wineries to make your trip one to remember.

A Superior Two-Bedroom Cabin has everything to keep you clean and comfortable during your stay—a full-size kitchen, open-plan lounge and dining, separate bathroom, air-conditioning, TV, and outdoor setting on a private deck. Alternately, book a Superior Safari Tent for a family of four.
