Park Info

Seventy Seventy (aka 1770) is the site of Captain Cook’s second landing in Australia in May 1770. Now a charming beachside town and the gateway to the Southern Great Barrier Reef, it’s a fantastic location to soak up the relaxed pace and tropical feel of coastal Queensland.

Captain Cook Holiday Village provides outstanding caravan park facilities and self-contained accommodation options to suit all holidaymakers. Whether you are travelling with a caravan, motorhome, tent, or looking to settle into a comfortable cabin, it’s the ideal base for exploring the town, the Reef, and the broader Gladstone region.

There is no shortage of local attractions and things to see and do. Take tours out to Lady Musgrave Island, Middle Islands and Pancake Creek or visit the Headlands lookout and Bustardhead Lighthouse. Enjoy kayaking, scenic flights, bicycle hire, surf lessons, reef cruises, fishing charters, and so much more.

Surrounding the area are four national parks just ready for you to explore: Deepwater, Eurimbula, Mount Colosseum and Round Hill.

Cook up a storm in the camp kitchen or your cabin using local produce from the nearby Discovery Markets, or enjoy a meal in the onsite restaurant.

Children can hang out at the playground, mini golf area or enjoy a swim in the pool. There’s plenty of wildlife in the park to meet too including kangaroos, wallabies, lizards and beautiful birds and butterflies.
