Gawler Caravan Park
Park features
Gawler Caravan Park is your ideal base to explore the famous Barossa wine touring and holiday region and just an hour away from Adelaide. Sitting on Gawler’s main road, this park is within easy walking distance of the friendly town centre.
Shaded by tall trees and backed by the North Para River, Gawler Caravan Park looks beautiful every month of the year. There’s a range of neat accommodation on offer, with cabins to suit many group sizes and powered sites for caravans and motorhomes. There are self-contained cabins which can sleep up to six people.
Gawler Caravan Park has been designed with ease of access in mind. You’ll appreciate its full loop around the park for access to sites, so you don’t have to make those awkward turns with a big rig. The park offers sites to suit large fifth wheelers, slide outs and big motorhomes.
This sunny region of South Australia has a lot to offer: turning right out of the caravan park you’ll find yourself driving towards the world-renowned Barossa region, scattered with welcoming cellar doors, restaurants and vineyard scenes. There are charming towns and markets to explore. Neighbouring Clare Valley is also home to famous wineries, plus walking and cycling trails.
Gawler itself is South Australia’s first country town, planned by Colonel William Light. The town is well worth exploring, from its historic railway station to the expansive Pioneer Park. There are plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes to choose from. And it’s all less than an hour’s drive from Adelaide, offering all the shopping, markets and museums you expect from the best holidays. It’s home to the famous Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Central Markets and shopping hubs of Rundle Mall and Rundle Street.
