Tathra Beach Eco Camp is located directly opposite the beautiful Tathra Beach on the NSW South Coast. It offers unique coastal escapes and luxe glamping experiences on 20 acres of recently rejuvenated bushland.
Surrounded by pristine beach and untouched national parks, the camp is brimming with native wildlife and puts a focus on sustainable stays in nature with opportunities to engage with onsite recycling, planting and junior ranger programs.
ACCOMMODATION
Loved by beach and nature lovers all year-round, accommodation options range from stylishly designed safari-style glamping experiences, fully self-contained airconditioned studio and family style cabins, as well as spacious powered sites.
The luxurious Bellbird Tents are your chance to camp out in unique style and are ideal for couples looking for a cosy escape in nature without sacrificing comfort. The Driftwood Tents are more of a classic safari style tent with every amenity taken care of, while the Sea Grass Safari Tents are a real taste of Africa with everything a growing family could ask for.
The Banksia Cabins come in a variety of sizes and are popular with couples and families, and each comes with its own kitchenette, ensuite bathroom and covered outdoor deck. The Gumnut Pods are another great way to escape to the South Coast and are built with couples in mind and a focus on comfort.
Powered grassy sites are grouped together and suitable for caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers and tents.
INSIDE THE PARK
Facilities inside the park start with a warm welcome at reception, a playground, communal camp fire pits, undercover BBQ areas, bike track, cultural area, bush tucker garden, kitchen garden, chicken coop, two large amenity blocks, two laundries, beach tracks, pedal cart hire, volleyball court and more.
Tathra Beach Eco Camp has a focus on the natural landscape and providing guests with a unique stay amongst nature while treading lightly on the environment. The cultural area is a place to learn, attend yarn time and pay respects to the traditional custodians, the Dirinjanj People of Yuin country.
Onsite there is a recycling program, rainwater tank for use, native planting program, native animal nesting boxes, a junior ranger program and native animal resting boxes. The park has ambitious plans to become carbon neutral.

For guests looking to take a nature break, Tathra Beach Eco Camp offers plenty of opportunity for adventure and relaxation.
Bush Walking is a popular activity with headland tracks winding their way through and from the park to popular whale watching spots and stunningly remote bays. The Wharf to Wharf Walk starts at the iconic Tathra Wharf and ends at Merimbula via rugged cliffs, freshwater lagoons and long isolated beaches.
Tathra is a popular spot for mountain biking, playing host to an epic network of single track that caters to everyone from beginner to expert. Stand Up Paddle boarding and swimming are popular pursuits, and nearby beaches at Tathra Beach, Nelsons and Middle Beach are all well-known surf spots. There are also plenty of companies offering guided kayak tours.
Five minutes from the parks front gate, the Mogareeka Inlet has its own dedicated boat ramp with access to the Bega river, a popular spot for boating and fishing.
GETTING TO TATHRA BEACH ECO CAMP
Find us directly opposite Tathra Beach, in the seaside village of Tathra, on the beautiful Sapphire Coast. Only 2.5 hours drive from Canberra, 6 hours from Sydney and 7 hours from Melbourne, we are halfway between Merimbula and Bermagui on the far south Coast of NSW.
